With over 30 years of teaching experience, Dave Childs has taught diverse student populations from basic piano to advanced classical, jazz and pop. Dave has been an adjunct professor at Fairfield University for 14 years, and an instructor at Cider Mill Conservatory for 12 years.
Dave presently maintains a busy private studio with the opportunity for an annual culminating recital experience.
Dave’s approach to teaching is a comprehensive one that includes not only traditional technique, theory and literature, but also ear training and music appreciation in order to produce the well-rounded musician.
